Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) Tours: This does not count as screen time.

who doesn’t love big bird?
(don’t answer that!)

UPDATE: A KIND READER HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE TPT TOURS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. I AM SO SORRY FOR ANY IN CONVENIENCE/EXPENSE THIS POST HAS CAUSED ANYONE. I WISH I HAD TIME TO CHECK AND DOUBLE-CHECK MY LEADS, BUT SINCE I AM DOING IT IN MY “SPARE” TIME, I DO NOT. I WILL LET YOU KNOW IF/WHEN I HEAR THE TOURS HAVE RESUMED. UNTIL THEN, I WILL BE WORKING ON A LOLLIPOPOLIS DISCLAIMER POST. SO SORRY EVERYONE.

Since I was a kid, I’ve always dug behind-the-scenes looks at things I love. Universal Studios? Check. Ben & Jerry’s? Seen it. Twin Cities Public Television? Count me in!

Did you know that tpt offers free 30-minute tours the first Saturday of the month (that would be this Saturday), 10 am – 12 pm (last tour: 11:30 am)?

I can’t promise you any Curious George celebrity sightings, but you will get a glimpse of the studio and control rooms and hear about the technical stuff that goes into running the station. Plus little TV fans get to brag about how they got to see the home of Arthur, Wild Kratts (hello, handsomes), Martha Speaks, and (my fave) World Girl.

Worrrrd UP!
