The Wizard of Oz and Annie on Stage: Musical musts for mini mavens.

You know the best part about taking the kiddos to a play? It doesn’t matter if it’s a Tony award-winner or a middle-school production, chances are they’ll love it just the same.

So, as awesome as the Children’s Theatre Company is, it’s time to think outside the box(office). Right now there are two family favorites right under your nose (if your nose is as big as the Twin Cities metro): Annie, put on by St. Anthony Community Theater and my nightmare-inducing childhood obsession, The Wizard of Oz at Burnsville Performing Arts Center. Either way, you’ll still get the real songs, a real stage, without the real steep ticket price.

And the kiddos will love it. Bet your bottom dollar.
