2012 Flint Hills International Children’s Festival: A world of kidtainment in downtown St. Paul.

Sure, lots of events boast “kid-friendly” activities. But not many offer more than an activity or two, let alone TWO DAYS of kid-friendliness, like the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival happening this weekend.

There’s so much free fun packed into these two days, their little heads are going to explode: There’s hands-on Art and Activities. Free outdoor performances by Block Party! (Get complete outdoor performance schedule here.) Food from tents—and trucks. There’s an ARTmoves Parade. The Outdoor ARTwalk (an exhibition of young artist’s artwork). An interactive ARTgarden (featuring an upside-down tree!). A Butterfly Garden. Plus, you can see performing artists from around the world for just $5 person at the Ordway (BAM, Fakoly, The Wolf and the Goat, World of Rhythm. Zorro…Some shows are already sold out. Get tickets online before you go).

They might even nap after all that stimulation. (As if.)
