Is your little one a spender or saver? Do they buy on credit (a quarter for a gum ball now = five kisses for mama later)? Do you sometimes feel like a human ATM? Well, April is Youth Financial Literacy Month, so now’s a great time to make them smarter about money with a family financial seminar at TopLine Federal Credit Union.
Join your future Trump for one of these free programs:
Building Dreams (K-4th grade), 9 a.m Explore the concepts of spending, saving and sharing through fun, age-appropriate discussions and worksheets.
Dollar Power (grades 5-8), 10:15 a.m. Thought-provoking questions and real-life examples get everyone thinking. Topics include needs vs. wants, planning and goal setting, saving and paying yourself first, spending and using gift cards wisely.
Dollars and Sense (high school), 11:30 a.m. Get a closer look at all of the above with in-depth discussions about sound money management with checking accounts and debit cards, and using credit wisely. Get the pros and cons of debit cards and credit cards, and how actions today can impact your future.
As an added bonus, kids who attend and open a savings account will have their first $25 matched by TopLine. Register by calling 763.391.0872 or RSVP@TopLinecu.com.
And before you know it, you’ll be borrowing money from them (if you haven’t already).
