How come when you get to the “This-is-your-captain-speaking,” part of the flight, it’s always that same gruff voice? You know what this world needs? More female pilots. And Girls with Wings is doing its part to see that that happens, and you can too by bringing your budding Amelia Earhart to Aviation Inspiration Day this Saturday.
Aviation Inspiration Day is a day devoted to giving girls (1st-8th grade) the opportunity to explore and create an interest in aviation with “girls only” presentations and activities throughout the day. There is a small $5 fee for the presentation portion and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Not only will pre-registering get your daughter one of the 30 spots, it entitles her to priority scheduling for the Young Eagle flights following the presentation (ages 8-17 only). That’s a free airplane flight for your precious little girl. Should I have my heart attack now or later?
You and the family will also be treated to WWII aircraft, museum tours as well as tours of other aircraft facilities on the field. And FREE LUNCH! For more information call Lynda at 216-228-0856.
Then buckle your seat belts and put your tray-table in the upright position…
